If your body feels like a stranger lately, you’re not imagining it.
If your favorite high-impact workout suddenly feels like a chore, or worse, leaves you wiped out for three days straight, you aren’t failing. You’re just in a different season. For many perimenopausal women, the "rules" of fitness and movement seem to change overnight. One day you have plenty of fire, and the next, even thinking about a yoga mat feels exhausting.
The old way of doing things tells you to "push through." It tells you that if you don't sweat for an hour, it doesn't count. But here at Capacity Conscious Yoga, we believe in a different way. A more supportive way. A way that honors the fluctuating energy of your perimenopausal body rather than fighting against it.
On March 9th, we are officially launching our subscription platform, and I am looking for 20 women to join us as Founding Members. This isn't just a yoga membership. It’s a revolution in how we care for ourselves in midlife.
The Problem With the "All or Nothing" Approach
For decades, we’ve been conditioned to believe that consistency means doing the exact same thing every day, regardless of how we feel. But as we navigate the hormonal shifts of midlife, our internal landscape changes. Stress levels spike. Sleep becomes elusive. Our joints might ache in ways they didn't before.
Trying to force a high-energy workout on a low-energy day isn't "discipline." It’s a recipe for burnout and injury.
Maybe you’ve noticed that your 20s workout strategy is a disaster for your 40s. It’s frustrating. It can even feel a little bit like betrayal. But what if your movement practice could actually give you energy instead of constantly taking it away?

What is Capacity Conscious Yoga?
Capacity Conscious Yoga is a framework built specifically for the reality of midlife. It’s yoga that adapts to you, not the other way around.
Instead of choosing a class based on what you think you should do, you choose based on what you can do in this exact moment. We focus on nervous system regulation, functional mobility, and, most importantly, self-compassion.
It’s about recognizing that your "capacity" isn’t a fixed number. It’s a moving target. Some days your cup is full. Other days, you’re scraping the bottom. Both versions of you deserve to move. Both versions of you deserve to feel good.

The 3 Energy Levels: Meeting You Where You Are
Inside our new subscription, the classes aren't just organized by style, they’re organized by energy level. We use a simple three-tier system to help you find exactly what your perimenopausal body needs:
1. LOW Capacity (The "Nurture" Days) These are the days when you’re running on empty. Maybe you stayed up half the night with hot flashes, or work stress has left your nervous system fried. On these days, we do restorative poses, gentle floor work, and deep breathing. It’s about recovery and nervous system support. Not harder. Not more intense. Just more supportive.
2. MEDIUM Capacity (The "Flow" Days) You feel okay. You have some energy to move, but you don't want to end up exhausted. These sessions focus on steady flow, gentle strength, and finding a sense of balance. It’s the sweet spot of movement that leaves you feeling refreshed and centered.
3. HIGH Capacity (The "Power" Days) Every now and then, the stars align and you feel strong! On these days, we embrace that fire. We focus on building functional strength and bone density, things that are vital for longevity after 40. It’s about challenging yourself without crossing the line into burnout.
The Capacity Check In: Your New Pre-Yoga Ritual
The heartbeat of this practice is the Capacity Check In. Before you ever unroll your mat, we ask: What is my actual capacity today?
It’s a simple, mindful pause. You check your physical energy, your mental load, and your emotional state. Instead of letting a smartwatch or a pre-set calendar tell you what to do, you listen to the most reliable source of information you have: your own body.
You might find that you don’t actually need a fitness tracker to know when you need rest. You just need the tools to listen.
By using our Capacity Scale, you remove the guilt of "not doing enough." If you check in and realize you’re at a Level 2, then a 10-minute restorative session is exactly what "enough" looks like. It’s a complete success.

Why 20 Spots? The Founding Member Revolution
When I started Capacity Conscious Yoga, I knew I wanted to create something more intimate than a giant, faceless fitness app. I wanted to build a community where women felt seen and supported.
On Monday, March 9th, I am opening up the doors to our subscription platform for the very first time. I am limiting this initial launch to just 20 Founding Member spots.
Why 20?
Because I want to work closely with this first group. As a Founding Member, you aren’t just a subscriber, you are a pioneer. You’ll have a direct line to me to share feedback, request specific types of classes, and help shape the future of this community.
You’ll also lock in a special "Founding Member" rate that will never increase as long as your subscription remains active. It’s my way of saying thank you for believing in this mission from day one.
Is This For You?
If you’re tired of the "no pain, no gain" mentality... If you’re navigating the highs and lows of perimenopause and looking for a way to stay active without the burnout... If you want to meet Sarah and a group of like-minded women who "get it"...
Then yes, this is for you.
We aren't here to chase "beach bodies" or master advanced inversions. We are here to reclaim our energy, support our health, and learn how to live comfortably in our changing bodies. Whether you have 10 minutes to spare or a full hour, there is a place for you here.

Join the Revolution on March 9th
The revolution starts by listening to yourself.
It starts by choosing a practice that honors your hormonal balance. It starts by giving yourself permission to do less when your body asks for it.
Mark your calendar for March 9th. These 20 Founding Member spots are expected to go quickly, and I would love for one of them to be yours.
If you’re ready to stop fighting your body and start working with it, you can explore more about your practice right now to get a feel for what’s coming.
Are you ready to change the way you move?

I can’t wait to welcome you inside. Let’s do this together, one capacity-conscious breath at a time.
If you have any questions before the big day, please don't hesitate to reach out and contact me. I'm here to support you every step of the way.
See you on the mat on March 9th!
